We only have 3 main Communist holidays (not that they are actually holidays) people in the United States acknowledge. One of them we don’t really observe – May Day (or International Workers’ Day – not the pagan holiday also called May Day, also May 1st) is the one where the Communists parade around their weapons through the streets, but in the US the illegal immigrants have been trying to get in on the action.
The Communists here tried to get Labor Day (the 2nd Communist Holiday we acknowledge) moved to May 1st, but they lost control of it and now it’s just last big BBQ of the Summer! Only the Communists try to keep the original intent.
The third Communist holiday comes up on Monday – Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, known more commonly by his alias V.I. Lenin, the father of the Communist Revolution in Russia. It was first celebrated in the United States on the 100th anniversary of his birth – Wednesday, April 22, 1970. They called it Earth Day. It’s funny when you look on the Internet and you see all of these people trying to deny that that’s why the date was chosen, but there is plenty of evidence. Just to be logical, think about it, if you were starting a new “holiday” where you want a lot of people to participate in activities would you choose a Wednesday? I’m just sayin’… Gaylord Nelson was a Socialist, no use trying to deny it.
Anyway… In honor of the Communists, I’ve updated my Global Warming page on my Science blog. Please check it out. (I was up until 3AM writing it. :))
If you disagree – you can argue they are just stupid in the comments below…
